Pizza Hut and Dairy Farmers cut emissions with SCiO Cup

Pizza Hut is encouraging dairy farmers to cut greenhouse gas emissions using the revolutionary SCiO Cup created by OurCrowd portfolio company Consumer Physics.
The SCiO Cup is the world’s fastest lab-grade dry matter analyzer. Members of the Dairy Farmers of America who enroll in the Pizza Hut program will use SCiO to analyze their cows’ feed, helping to deliver precise nutrition – producing milk more efficiently, creating less waste, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions from farms, FeedStuffs reports.
“With this sustainability initiative, we’re able to utilize technology along with our dairy partners in a way that helps the environment while still delivering the iconic taste that pizza lovers have come to expect from our offerings,” says Penny Shaheen, head of food innovation and technology at Pizza Hut.
Pizza Hut aims to source 50% of the dairy used to make its pizza cheese from dairy farms enrolled in the program by 2025.
